What happens to my booking in the case of a Force Majeure?

We, of course, hope nothing bad ever happens, but unfortunately some things are simply out of our control. In the case of a Force Majeure, we will contact you as soon as possible with the offer of an alternative destination or, in the more severe cases, we may have to cancel your trip.

As a Force Majeure is not caused by a failure of TravelBird, we will try to look for a reasonable solution that pleases all parties involved. Most cancellation insurance policies do cover Forces Majeures, but not every insurance company does. Bearing this in mind, if your trip is cancelled due to a force majeure, please contact your insurance company to ask them if they will compensate you.

In the unfortunate event a Force Majeure happens when you’re on holiday, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our utmost best to make sure you return home safely.
